Snakes!

• Elliott Knob, Virginia (August 2004). One big ass rattler. Probably a timber rattler.
• Blue Mountains, West Virginia (August 2005). Well hidden little viper. Scared the snot out of me.
• Seward County, Kansas (Sept. 2002). Almost stepped on a rattler!
• Hartley County, Texas (Sept. 2002). I didn't see the rattler, but Roy sure did!
• Table Top, Arizona (March 2006). Big slinking rattler, plenty mad at us.
• Santa Ynez Peak, California (Aug 2010). Black rattler crossing the road.
• Red Mountain, Arizona (Oct 2010). A "sonoran whipsnake". Not poisonous.
