Kitties and Doggies!

We have made many friends of the four-legged variety on our trips. Often they are accompanying another hiker and come up to us for a pet or ear-rub. Other times they just randomly show up out of nowhere. So we pet them.

(c) 2010 Scott Surgent. For entertainment purposes only. Please be friendly when approaching any strange dog or cat. Ask the owner if it's okay to pet them. Talk to them in your best "doggy" or "kitty" voice. Should they attack, curl into a fetal ball and cover your face. Then panic and run. Don't run in a straight line, as they'll catch you. Instead, run in curvy lines. You won't get away, but at least it gives them a good work out before they catch you.
