Lovell Canyon & Mine Site
Lake Mead, Nevada • February 14, 2010

My mother knew about the Lovell Canyon hike from one of her hiking clubs, so she took me and my father for a hike. The initial hike is in a broad valley where old mine equipment still stands. The canyon progressively narrows until it is a proper slot canyon. My folks did not go this far. They let me go on ahead and hike up the slot a ways, because I'm a good boy. The slot portion was quite fun and interesting, often just one Scott-width wide.
